Elmwood School serves K-6th grade students in Zion, Illinois. We are part of the Zion School District #6. Elmwood school is located in Lake County, Illinois, which is approximately 30 miles north of Chicago. It is classified as a medium sized elementary school with a student population of about 370. Elmwood is a culturally diverse school with 44.8% African-American, 40.5% Hispanic, 7.7% Caucasian,  and 7% Mixed Race.  The school's attendance rate is 94.2% and the student mobility rate is 36%.
